Much of our life experience, and what it feels like to be us, is a story we’re making up as we go.
There are factual circumstances in our lives, including other people and things they do and say, life and world events around us, and then there are the narratives we create – everything we make those circumstances mean.
But do the stories we believe about ourselves and our lives always serve us well? Are they even true?
And how do we even go about figuring that out – especially if we don’t even realize what we believe is just a story we’ve created?
In this episode, we’re talking all about the stories we tell ourselves, how they aren’t always telling the whole story, how we’ve been given the ability to discern whether they are useful (and true) or not, and why being open to considering the other side of the story can change everything.
I can’t wait for you listen.
