There are so many parallels between the roles of motherhood and business and the kind of growth that each of those is the catalyst for in our lives. On one of the very long flights we had over spring break recently, I put pen to paper and got really clear about what this looks like – how do the skill sets we develop as mothers translate to shaping us into even stronger business owners, and vice versa? After spending some serious time with this – I’m convinced more than ever that there is so much overlap in the traits and qualities that lead us to be successful in parenting and successful in our businesses. And here’s the thing – so often, the messaging out there is all about how HARD it is to be a mom building a business, and the challenges that maybe make it feel like motherhood is a setback to having the kind of success you’d like to have in your business. In this episode, I want to fully disagree with this idea and empower you with this message instead: that being a mom sets you up for even MORE success as the owner of a business as a creative entrepreneur or coach.
