We struggle with simplicity.

When something in life or business seems too easy, too effortless, or even just manageable — our brain freaks out — and makes it complicated. We’re used to life feeling hard – so much so that it becomes our “normal”. We expect difficulty, so when we find ourselves experiencing something other than what feels challenging, our brain sees it as a problem.

There’s no doubt that motherhood and business (and life) have ups and downs that are unavoidable. But what is avoidable? The additional layers of pain and suffering we inflict on ourselves simply by overcomplicating.

The truth is, when we expect something to be hard, it will be hard. When we open ourselves up to the possibility that something could be easier, our perspective shifts and our minds open to a different way of thinking.

In this episode, you’ll learn:

• Where you’re overcomplicating your life without even realizing it

• Why you have a natural tendency to make life harder than it has to be

• Why your brain sees ease and simplicity as a problem

• The one question you can ask to invite ease into your life
